Why use Redact PDF in your browser?
PDFs often hold contracts, IDs, financial statements, or internal reports. Redact PDF: Drag boxes over sensitive areas. With Burn-in on, each redacted page is rasterized — text underneath is gone, not just hidden. Server-side tools upload or log inputs. Just Tool It does not: it uses client-side PDF libraries (such as pdf-lib and PDF.js) that read files as ArrayBuffers in memory. Close the tab and the working data is gone. That is zero-server processing and on-device security.
